Transforming Communities Through Medication Safety Awareness
safety and actively combating the spread of misinformation. Our outreach has reached over 200,000 individuals, empowering them with accurate information and reinforcing the importance of consulting healthcare professionals for guidance. Recognized by TEDx as one of the best ideas worth spreading, our approach has garnered widespread attention with over 1,500 interviews on TV and radio channels.
In collaboration with Public Security, our team launched a high-impact campaign in the heart of the country, addressing the dangers of medication-related rumors on social media. We emphasized the critical role of doctors and pharmacists as trusted sources of information. Generous contributions from Jordanian companies allowed us to provide gifts to attendees, while Public Security Radio spotlighted the most prominent pharmaceutical myths circulating online.
We further extended our commitment through a social initiative at a nursing home, where we engaged with elderly residents to understand their care needs and organized their medications to reduce the risk of harmful drug interactions. Alongside distributing gifts, our team spent time conversing with the residents, uplifting their spirits and contributing to their well-being. Through these efforts, we aim to create a safer, more informed community that values accurate healthcare information and safe medication practices.
Our mission to build a safer healthcare system begins with empowering those at its core—healthcare professionals. We have trained over 700 doctors, pharmacists, and nurses, equipping them with essential skills and knowledge to prevent medication errors and promote safe practices in prescribing, dispensing, and administration. Recognized for our impact, we have been honored twice by the Jordanian Pharmacists Syndicate for delivering educational events that support the professional growth of pharmacists across the country.
Our dedication extends to future healthcare leaders, with workshops at five esteemed universities where we’ve been acknowledged for excellence in training pharmacy and medical students. Through our collaboration with the UNHCR and AMR, we’ve also reached underserved areas like Al Azraq camp, providing essential training to healthcare providers on the frontlines. Together, these efforts reinforce our commitment to safer healthcare and empower professionals to make a lasting impact on patient well-being.
